NexGen Nursery & NexGen Jr.

NexGen Nursery serves infants through walkers. NexGen Jr. is for children ages, 1 (walking) to 4 years old. The curriculum we have chosen for these precious little ones is called The Gospel Project, which takes the children on a journey through the entire Bible in 3 years. Every Gospel Project Bible time concludes with a “Christ Connection” which is a few brief sentences, showing how the Bible story points to Jesus. Adding to this creative Bible lesson, worship time, a great craft and snack time–our hope is that your child will love their time in NexGen Jr.

Additionally, we expect all parents to be involved in NexGen Jr. by volunteering on a regular basis to help in the classroom. We find that parent involvement not only aids in the quality of our program, but also enriches parent/child relationships at home. We have designed NexGen Jr. class time to be “helper friendly,” requiring no preparation time at home. Our helping parents will quickly understand upon arrival to the class about what they need to do to facilitate a simple but quality program for the kids. Due to the Road’s conviction to make NexGen Jr. a secure environment, all adult helpers are required to pass a background check.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Prov. 22:6)

NexGen (Ages 5-10)

NexGen is the children’s ministry for all elementary ages at The Road. Its leadership is committed to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Prov. 22:6) With Spirit-led and creative teaching, we seek to give to our youngest church members the tools they will need to be spiritually effective for the Kingdom of God. We work hard each week to present Biblical truths in a fun, challenging, and unique way.

Our leadership team is made up of dedicated teachers, who have vast experiences in working with children, both as parents and as educators. We also engage and deploy a mature team of young adults, who are class helpers and are also committed to the discipleship of children in NexGen.

Additionally, we expect all parents to be involved in the NexGen discipleship process by volunteering on a regular basis to help in the class room. We find that parent involvement not only aids in the quality of our program, but also enriches parent/child relationships at home. Due to the Road’s conviction to make NexGen a secure environment, all adult helpers are required to pass a background check.

With games, activities, meaningful crafts, skits, worship, small groups, and solid Bible teaching, NexGen is the place where 5 to 11 year olds are being trained to be spiritual leaders for their generation.
