Public Policy Team Meeting
June 8, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Should I Run for Office as a Christian Conservative (or help others to do so)?
With Special Guest: Congressman Bill Redmond, Ret.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. — John Adams
By default, the Body of Christ has allowed the immoral worldview of humanism to infuse every national institution, including government to the highest and lowest levels. “For such a time as this” we MUST stop this evil tide and restore God and Biblical values to our nation … but how?
Join former U.S. Congressman and Pastor, Bill Redmond, as he answers the main questions on the minds of Christian Conservatives who are wondering “Should I run for office?”, including some crucial campaign strategies. In addition, Bill will advise the rest of us as to how we can effectively come alongside Christian Conservative candidates to help them run, win, and serve with Godly integrity.
Who is this meeting for? Current candidates, prospective candidates (who would run if they only knew how), campaign consultants and managers (or those who would like to be), candidate families, campaign volunteers, pastors, and all citizens who wish to serve our nation by glorifying God through government.
Format: In an informal, interview-style setting, Congressman Redmond will address the primary questions that Christian conservatives who are wondering whether they should run for political office tend to ask, including how to “count the costs” and important winning political strategies. He will show how important the rest of us can be in supporting those candidates, and in what practical ways ALL OF US can come alongside them. The presentation will conclude with Audience Q&A.
Who is Congressman Redmond? Bill Redmond ran four federal campaigns and represented New Mexico in the U.S. House. He then served as a National Representative for CitizenLink (now Family Policy Alliance), the former political arm of Focus on the Family, where he did campaign training, fundraising, and political analysis in 11 states, professionally advising candidates from school board up to the U.S. Senate, and seeing more than 80 candidates win their races. A pastor for 40 years, he currently advises pastors of China’s persecuted church. For the past five years he has instructed the “How to Run for Office” class for the Practical Government School at Charis Bible College, and has now released an online course titled, “How to Run for Office as a Christian Conservative,” the only comprehensive campaign training presented with a bold Biblical worldview.
