“Sing Out” Vocal Class (Ages 6-11)
Wednesdays 11:00-11:45 AM

If you would like to improve your singing skills for musical theatre and performance, join our new Vocal Class taught in a group/ensemble setting! Song styles will include Broadway, Jazz, pop, and more! Teamwork, vocal technique, tone, and performance techniques will be a high focus. Several diverse songs will be learned, memorized, and performed each semester. Vocal technique, sight-reading, and theory will provide a solid foundation for these budding vocal musicians. Throughout the semester, we will explore solo performing, audition prep, musical storytelling, and light choreography, while experimenting with simple harmonies. “Sing Out” will help each student grow into a confident and skilled vocal performer!
*All students will participate in the KAIA showcase on Friday, April 25, 2025
About the Instructor
Roxanne Lingle
Roxanne Lingle is a professional vocal performer and voice major. Ms Roxanne has taught students for over 25 years. She has had the honor of instructing hundreds of vocal student performers throughout her teaching career. She loves seeing her students bloom and become learned vocal musicians. Ms Roxanne has been a Colorado Vocal Contest Judge, and a Colorado All-State Vocal judge for over 15 years. She has performed as lead vocalist for the US Air Force Academy band, taught at the Colorado Springs Conservatory for many years, and has sung on national and local television and radio commercials. She has been musical director for several theater productions and loves singing for women’s conferences and leading worship. Ms Roxanne loves Jesus and believes music is a gift we’ve been given and the best way to give back is to share our gifts while being a blessing to others.
