Outreach Initiatives

At The Road, we believe that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community of Colorado Springs. Below are some of the initiatives we encourage members to be involved with.

C.A.R.E. Ministry at The Road

C.A.R.E. (Compassion And Restoration Encourager) Ministry was established to aid those in The Road who are walking through a difficult time. We provide help with meal trains for those experiencing a life-changing event or medical recovery, funeral/memorial service coordination, resource assistance, and counseling referrals. Our vision is that the family of The Road would reach out to each other. If you are in a season of life in which you are able to offer assistance, please consider being a part of our servant leadership team by clicking “Give CARE.” There are so many areas to sign up and you can choose those within your gifting.

Springs Initiative

Neighbors helping neighbors.

The Springs Initiative is dedicated to bringing hope and restoration to Colorado Springs. Home is a fundamental building block of joy and stability in families. Often times, the care of homes is secondary to other life necessities. We step in and provide fresh paint, clean up, yard work and outside restoration for homes of families who may not have the resources to do so themselves. Springs Initiative is a public outreach of The Road @ Chapel Hills.

More Than A Meal

More Than A Meal serves the homeless every Saturday morning at 7:45 AM at Legacy Wesleyan Church, 502 North Walnut Street

The Road officially supports and encourages member participation when there is a fifth Saturday in a month, generally four times per year. In 2023, these dates are July 29, September 29, & December 30. However, anyone that is interested can help any/all Saturdays.

Fathers in the Field

Fathers in the Field is a dynamic ministry for boys called Fathers in the Field. Their mission is to rekindle and establish the spirit of boys who have been abandoned by their fathers; mentoring them one-on-one in life skills through outdoor activities, and by sharing a Christian understanding of our Heavenly Father’s love and sacrifice for His children.

An informational meeting will be held at The Road @ Chapel Hills on June 5. Please pray about being involved in the lives of boys who need a father figure in their life.
