Randy Valentine

Born in Virginia and raised in Georgia, Randy made his way to California during college in hopes of pursuing the American dream. Instead, he found so much more: God. Randy started his career in Silicon Valley, serving at various start-ups as well as two Fortune 1000 companies: TiVo and McAfee.com. In 2006, Randy and his wife, Kristi, moved to Colorado Springs. He has worked for Focus on the Family and helped non-profits improve their bottom-line and increase constituents. Randy now oversees Development and Marketing at Every Home for Christ. Randy and Kristi, along with their two sons, have been a part of The Road since 2016. They proudly call The Road their home and are blessed to be a part of the Shepherd team.

Case Boogaard

Case was born in the Netherlands in 1945 which, at the time, was a country trying to recover from World War II.  In 1949, the family immigrated to the United States to begin a new life.  Case met Billie, an Elementary teacher, at Emmanuel Reformed Church and they were married in 1974.  They have two sons, Eric and Ryan.  Case was very involved in civic and church life.  He was councilman and mayor of Paramount, President of Rotary, YMCA Board, and many other committees as well as deacon at Emmanuel Reformed Church.  He also helped birth the Looking Good program which grew into the Compton Initiative (which is the model for our own Springs Initiative). The family moved to Colorado Springs in 1994 and the next years were spent establishing real estate business, watching the boys play high school & college football, welcoming two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.  Case is semi-retired and enjoys traveling, fishing, working out and family times.  Case and Billie are blessed to be attending and serving at The Road.

Richard Dutt

Richard is a retired Navy Master Chief Petty Officer serving his country for 30 years, and is also a retired FedEx Ramp Agent of 13 years. He has a servant’s heart and loves to help in various areas of The Road @ Chapel Hills, most recently with the Road Facilities Team. He and his wife, Judy, serve in the Welcome Ministry and Prayer Ministry. Richard and Judy are Kansas natives and have been married 53 years. They have two beautiful daughters and four grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Neal Gunn

Neal grew up in a solid Christian family as the middle son of a Baptist deacon, but pressed the limits of life through his teen years. Having given his heart to Jesus at an early age, his father saw that Neal needed some more attention and blessed him with a draft number of 10 in the national military draft lottery system. College deferments were terminated that year and Neal was assured of a slot in the military. He entered the Navy and served on submarines.  During this time, God immersed Neal in His Word and his relationship with Jesus grew immensely.

Jesus is his Source and has been these many decades.  Neal is blessed with the wonderful wife of his youth, Judy, three sons and a daughter, and twelve grandchildren.  Neal would enjoy hearing from you and arranging time to talk about life!  Catch him on Sunday or send a message.

“Abide in the love of Jesus!” (John 15:9)

Steve & Carin Clark

Steve worked in the information technology field for over 40 years and retired in 2002.  As a director at MCI, he was responsible for full development lifecycle including budget over site. Steve and Carin met just after Steve had been inducted into the Army and they continued their friendship until they married in 1988. They are proud parents of Jacob and Zane as well as Tony who is from Steve’s prior marriage. Steve and Carin shared the wonderful experience of homeschooling Jacob and Zane when Steve retired. After their move to Colorado Springs, Carin’s sister urged them to love and follow Jesus which is when their walk with Steve Holt began. They have served The Road @ Chapel Hills faithfully from the inception.

Dennis & Michelle Cates

Dennis and Michelle are natives to Colorado. Both have careers in construction management and were introduced to each other by friends also employed in this industry. Dennis popped the question while he and Michelle were traveling in Italy. The Lord has used many broken roads to lead the two of them together and with those same roads He continues to infuse their hearts with the desire to know Him more deeply and to make Him known to others. They love to travel (most of which has been on the back of a Harley Davidson) and they enjoy all things Colorado. Both love hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, mountains and spending quality time with family and friends. They share the blessings of two children and five grandchildren.
