Acrylic Explorers: Creating with the Creator (Ages 7-13)

Wednesdays 4:05-5:00 PM
January 28 – April 22, 2026
Instructor: Kendall Hall
Cost: $96, due at registration (sibling discount 10%, type in SIBLING10)
Supply Fee: $35 (paid to instructor on the first day of class)

In this joyful and faith-filled painting class, young artists will explore the beauty of God’s creation—and their own creativity—through the vibrant world of acrylics. Whether your child is a first-time painter or already has an eye for art, this class invites them to grow both in skill and in their understanding of the God who designed them to create.

Each week, students will learn practical techniques like brush strokes and color blending, then apply them as they paint scenes from nature—flowers, trees, landscapes, and maybe even a few animals! We’ll also take short nature walks around the church to soak in the wonder of God’s handiwork and use it as inspiration for our own.

This class focuses more on creativity than perfection, encouraging students to enjoy the process, express themselves freely, and develop their own artistic style. They’ll be reminded that our Creator God delights in beauty, imagination, and the joy of making something new.

It’s a perfect space for children to grow in confidence, skill, and worship through the arts—painting not just pictures, but reflections of God’s glory.

All students will have their work presented at the KAIA Showcase on April 24, 2026!

Instructor: Kendall Hall
Cost: $96, due at registration (sibling discount 10%, type in SIBLING10)

Join us for a joyful exploration of pencil drawing where creativity and imagination come to life! In this faith-centered art class, young artists will learn step-by-step how to turn simple shapes into meaningful drawings—objects, animals, characters, and scenes. We’ll begin with the basics using tracing paper and simple shapes, then gradually move into linework, shading, and freehand design as students grow in confidence and skill. No prior experience is needed, and all levels are welcome.

Each Week Will Include:

  • Simple guided drawings using shapes, tracing paper, and easy templates
  • A short creative devotion or Scripture tie-in that inspires our artwork
  • Linework exercises to build steady, expressive drawing skills
  • Freehand exploration that encourages imagination and independence
  • Supportive feedback moments to celebrate growth and courage

All students will have their work presented at the KAIA Showcase on April 24, 2026!

About the Instructor

Kendall Hall

From a young age, I loved to color, draw and paint. I started to really enjoy and excel at various types of artwork throughout middle school and high school. Over the years I have made and given many pieces as gifts.

In my former position as a Senior Living Activities Director, I began to teach painting classes. About 3 years ago I started selling my artwork and teaching painting classes for kids and adults. I have mostly taught them on my own but have also taught through PPLD & High Country Home School group, in the past.

Guiding others to create beautiful artwork they never thought they could paint gives me great joy. We are all uniquely created and those traits and styles come though the paintbrush onto canvas and turn into unique pieces of art for each involved. It is truly a beautiful and exciting process!

Art is one of my passions. I believe God has given me this talent and has called me to share it!
