January 27 – April 21, 2026
Instructor: Gary Nowinski

No experience needed—just bring your imagination!
What do you do when someone forgets their line… or the prop you need is missing… or you’re not sure what comes next? You improvise—and trust God in the moment!
In this fun and fast-paced class, young performers will explore how to think on their feet, stay flexible, and let their creativity shine—even when things don’t go as planned. Through silly games, team challenges, and imaginative storytelling, kids will learn how to:
- Make up scenes on the spot
- Work together as a team
- Turn mistakes into something amazing
- Stay confident and calm under pressure
- Trust God’s plan—even when it’s unexpected!
We’ll talk about how life doesn’t always go the way we expect, but God is always with us, helping us respond with courage, joy, and creativity. Whether your child is new to the stage or a seasoned performer, this class is all about building confidence, character, and Christ-centered creativity.
Bring: A binder, pencil, water bottle, close-toed shoes
All students will participate in the KAIA Showcase on April 24, 2026!
About the Instructor
Gary Nowinski
Gary caught the acting bug in the 7th grade when he wrote, directed, and acted in a short play for a religion class. After getting saved during the Jesus movement in 1974 at the age of 18, he and several others from the church started a drama team. He has been writing, directing, producing, and acting in Christian theater since then. Gary spent four years at New Life Church writing and performing live action and puppet sketches every week for 1st through 3rd grade students on Sunday mornings. Aside from his work in the church, Gary has also acted in local community theater productions playing such roles as Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof,” Lord Capulet in “Romeo and Juliet,” as well as Claudius and Hamlet’s ghost in “Hamlet,” to name a few. Since joining The Road Church two years ago, Gary has been writing and directing short sketches for NextGen students and the recent Woman’s Night at the Theater. He is very blessed to be able to use the talents God has given him to spread the Good News of the King of Glory.
